A Voss and Pike Casefile: The First Case
Section 16: The Fenn Family
"The Fenns, mostly," said Halvorsen, turning pages. "Dock family, three generations on the same street. The grandmother remembered when half the street worked the yards. The youngest - lad called Eddie, couldn't have been more than nine or ten when I was there - used to sit in on half my interviews with his mum, dead curious about what I was writing down." She smiled, briefly, despite everything. "Sharp kid. Asked better questions than most of my undergraduates. I hope whatever becomes of this doesn't end up following him round for the rest of his life."
Three generations of a Dockside dock-working family, interviewed with care and consent - including a sharp nine-year-old called Eddie, unknowingly becoming a data point in a model built to flag streets like his own as "risk."
